„I work at the National Sports Teams Medical Center at Prague Military University Hospital, where we treat a number of top Czech athletes and Olympic national team members.

I’ve had the chance to oversee the preparation of medical equipment for the Czech Olympic team from the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia up to the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia. In the last 15 years we have tried a number of devices from the field of physiotherapy, mainly for acute musculoskeletal disorders, specifically of the soft tissue, when there is still a chance the athlete continuing with the competition.

I can say that the most effective was the High Intensity Laser which we first used at the 2012 London Olympic Games. The High Intensity Laser is best for us mainly because its therapeutic effect can be seen almost immediately just after a few applications. We appreciate mainly its analgesic effect and healing support in the treatment of acute disorders of the musculoskeletal apparatus.

I could name a list of top athletes in situations which could affect their placing or even continuation in a competition but I have one very interesting example of one of the first uses of the High Intensity Laser. At the 2012 London Olympic Games, where a former outstanding decathlete and national team member Tomas Dvorak approached us with a chronic pain in the heel area and after one High Intensity Laser application this pain has vanished. The pain hasn’t returned up until this day.“
